Peter Brock and Woodsy grin ear-to-ear before heading out
in their Superformance
Daytona Cobra Coupes through
the wide-open farm country near Gearhead City.
What a treat to actually meet
Peter Brock,
designer of the original
1965 aerodynamic Cobra Coupe that broke speed records for the
Shelby Race Team.
Now, Brock has re-engineered his design for improved handling with
a modern chassis and suspension. Under his direction,
Superformance
updated with creature comforts including enough head, elbow & leg room
even if you are over 6 feet tall. And, as expected today, the
cockpit is
weather-tight with roll-up windows and cooled by factory-installed air.
Plus, it averages 20 MPG thanks to Brock's aerodynamic design.

In the Lead - Woodsy worked out the bugs in the early
production car for a reliable, enjoyable GT cruiser.
We love how the Shelby Cobra Coupe grips the road on the
straight-aways and hugs the curves through the mountains.

Tail of the Dragon
Woodsy, Superformance engine installer, dreamed of driving a Cobra
ever since he saw the Coupe race as a kid. Now, you can experience
the thrill too.
